Ecovolunteer nature travel : help in a wildlife sanctuary in Thailand. The Wildlife Friends of Thailand is new organization founded in 2001. The major goals set for this organization is to stop cruelty against all (wild) animals, educate the new generation about animal and nature-conservation, and provide a safe place as close to nature as possible for those animals that have been domesticated and/or handicapped. Animals housed in enclosures and on islands at the sanctuary vary from monkeys and gibbons up to tigers kept previously as pets or tourist-attractions. Volunteers are needed here to keep the sanctuary going and to assist in providing maximum care for the housed animals, be it feeding the animals, building new enclosures or doing maintenance work to existing enclosures or islands. wildlife friends sanctuary, kao look chang, primates, lesser apes, hylobatidae, hylobates lar, white-handed gibbon, monkeys, macaques, bears, asian black bear, malayan bear, stumptail macaques, slow loris, long-tail macaques, tiger, white-cheeked gibbon, pigtail macaques, common palm-civet, primate rescue, gibbon reintroduction, nature travel, ecotourism
