Ecovolunteer nature travel: help in humpback whale research in Brazil. By giving lectures on boats and escorting tourists on their island visits, we hope that people will become more aware of the concerns for humpback whales and their environment. At the same time we set an example for tourism by not disturbing the whales during observations or polluting the islands. As well as studying humpback whales, we also helps the Abrolhos’ Marine National Park staff to collect the data on the nesting sites of turtles and count and ring certain nesting bird species. We are also actively checking on fishing within the park and trying to keep it from becoming excessive. instituto baleia jubarte, projeto baleia jubarte, humpback whale, megaptera novaeangliae, rorqual, balaenopteridae, cetacean, whales, abrolhos national park, bahia, caravelas, brasil, brazil, nature travel, ecotourism
